Stainless Steel Pressure Transducer used to convert a media pressure into an electrical output, in this case 4 to 20 milliamp which is a common communication output. Constructed of 316L stainless steel this unit will suit a very large range of media and applications due to its robustness and resistance to corrosion. Supplied with a Hershamn plug (also know as a DIN plug).

  • What is a Pressure Transducer?

A Pressure Transducer also sometimes know as a Pressure Transmitter is a type of sensor that converts media pressure into an electrical signal. The signal that is produced can be in different outputs but ours is 4 to 20mA. This is a very common industrial signal voltage.

  • How does a Stainless Steel Pressure Transducer work?

The Pressure Transducer has a stainless steel diaphragm which the media pressure acts against inside the housing of the transducer. At different pressures within the range of the transducer it will give a different output signal (between 4 and 20mA).

  • How do I choose the right Pressure Transducer?

The pressure transducer you choose must be compatible with your media, temperature range and pressure range. Once all of these are satisfied the pressure transducer can be selected.

  • How long will my Pressure Transducer Last?

This is based upon various factors including operating conditions, environment and how often the unit is maintained.

  • How do I install a Pressure Transducer?

The transducer can be installed directly into the process line if the media is clean and the temperature and pressure is within the range of the unit. If the temperature lies outside the range a cooling tower or a pigtail syphon can be used. If the media is aggressive and not compatible with the transducer it can be coupled with a diaphragm seal to protect it.

  • What are typical uses of a Pressure Transducer?

These Pressure Transducers have a very wide usage range as they are made out of 316L Stainless Steel. This includes applications such as hydraulic, steam, pneumatic and sanitary to name a few.

  • How long will my product take to get to me?

This depends upon where you are based and the freight method chosen. If the express freight option is selected it is usually next day delivery to metropolitan areas in Australia for under 5kg. If free freight has been selected it will go by road freight which can be anywhere from 1 to 10 days depending upon your location. It usually averages 3 days.

  • What warranty do I get?

All of our products come standard with a 12 month warranty. The good news is we have very strict quality controls and all Pressure Transducers leave our warehouse tested and inspected so there are rarely any issues. Also once your Pressure Transducer is in and operating it will most likely continue to do so for a very long time barring any external factors.
